Timber construction / carpentry

People have been carpentering for thousands of years. We continue this craft with new technologies. Proven craftsmanship tradition, supported by the latest technology, is essential wherever wood plays a supporting role.

We manufacture roof trusses and wooden structures of all kinds. Our work also includes the construction of shelters/carports, entrance canopies and balconies. We also have the know-how for agricultural and industrial buildings. We solve demanding and also simple roof constructions professionally. The different construction tasks are planned and executed with the help of modern CAD equipment, down to the last detail.

We also cover walls and ceilings with various types of paneling and make straight and winding staircases in various types of wood. We also carry out the installation of roof hatches. We are active not only in new and reconstructed buildings, we also carry out repairs.

**Roofing

Pitched roofs are still the most common type of roofs and offer optimal protection as well as security and comfort. Whether tiles, fiber cement (Eternit) or sheet metal - with a wide range of variations and materials we offer an optimal solution tailored to your needs. By installing roof windows or roof superstructures in the form of hatchways, ox-eyes, etc., a living space can be further embellished or a roof landscape can be made even more interesting. **Facades

Whether ventilated and made of wood, clinker or with thermal insulation: the facade not only determines the appearance, but is closely related to the entire construction and energy balance of a building.

Wood, metal, glass, plastic, etc. Wood is (again) increasingly used not only in constructions and as a source of energy, but also in facades. The good properties of the natural material may contribute to this: wood insulates and protects, is ecological and natural and, last but not least, very easy to work with. Frequently, curtain-type, rear-ventilated facades have battens on the masonry - often filled with thermal insulation - on which the outer wooden battens, boards or shingles are placed. The wood can be treated with glaze, varnish or oil paint. If the builder does not want to use a treatment, weather-resistant wood must be used, for example, larch. In the case of untreated wood, it is expected that the surface will change due to external influences, which cannot be predicted exactly.

Element construction

Wooden houses in element construction are ecological, individual, flexible and quickly built. Bosshard Söhne AG erects a wooden house completely within a few days. This is only possible because the house parts are precisely pre-produced in our modern carpentry shop. We carve walls, ceilings, floors or roofs with CAD-supported planning. Everything fits together perfectly and only needs to be assembled on the building site. It doesn't always have to be entire house structures. We also completely prefabricate individual roof trusses in our workshop. From the visible interior cladding to the tile lathing, the finished element is assembled on site. Extensions and superstructures can also be prefabricated in element construction, also called timber frame construction.

We keep up with the continuous development of various materials and are always up to date.

**interior fittings

Interior finishing makes living trendy, cozy, homely, modern or simply relaxing. It doesn't matter whether it's cladding work for new buildings or new designs for conversions. Bosshard Söhne AG can advise you competently and professionally in all areas.

Steko wood house system

STEKO is a modular system of the latest technology and construction, which allows sustainable building and meets the highest requirements in terms of stability, durability, comfort and freedom of design. STEKO is a building system that opens up completely new dimensions for builders, planners and contractors. Because never before has it been so easy to build rock-solid, healthy and ecologically valuable houses.

The Steko wood building system is based on a few basic elements that can be put together quickly and easily. The core element is the handy basic module weighing approx. 6.5 kg with a length of 640 mm and a height of 320 or 240 mm. The width of all components is 160 mm. In addition to the 4-part module, there are 3-, 2- and 1-part modules.

A sill is used as the bottom end, and a truss, each 8 cm high, as the top end. The system is complete with the reveal boards. With these few parts, all load-bearing or non-load-bearing interior and exterior walls of a house can be built.

**Floors

Wooden gratings in various types of wood. Wooden gratings are in vogue. We manufacture the elegant terrace coverings from domestic wood species such as larch, Douglas, oak, robinia or imported wood species according to your wishes and ideas.

Parquet - a lifelong living comfort. A wide range of design options through different types of wood (maple, oak, birch, beech, cherry, ash, ...) and laying patterns (ship bottom, English, herringbone, weave pattern, ...) are guaranteed to cover your personal wishes. The surface can be treated individually whether with oil or a seal. Let us advise you. **Stairs

Climb up! Nothing easier than that! Stairs of all kinds allow you to take this step with ease. With our many years of experience, we will be happy to help you find the ideal staircase for your home / property. A staircase made of wood is not only a beautiful element for the eye but also easy to maintain and resilient.

Straight or winding, we can offer you all possible shapes and types. It does not necessarily have to be only wood. We are open to the most diverse materials.

**Sawmill

We process local logs into boards, beams and battens. We also saw your logs into boards and beams. Most of the wood cut in the sawmill is further processed in the carpenter's and joiner's workshop. Roof battens and double battens are partly resold or installed on the roofs by our roofers themselves. Our horizontal log band saw is specially designed for the customer's timber. Are you looking for a way to turn your walnut tree in the garden into a dining table? Then your way leads through our sawmill.

**Roof maintenance

The roof is one of the most stressed components of a building. Since it is not so much in the direct field of vision of the observer, it is always mistakenly neglected in maintenance and care. Every material and therefore also roofing and waterproofing materials are subject to a natural aging process. Roof surfaces are particularly exposed to the weather.
