Our strengths are furniture construction and customized solutions in the field of interior design. In doing so, we place the highest demands on material and workmanship.

When Hans Heinrich Schärer moved to the farmhouse on the Hirzel in 1771, inherited from his wife Susanne, it was clear that the Schärer family had come to stay.

At first they offered simple handicrafts and sewing, later carpentry work was done in the small kitchen chamber and finally the first Hirzel furniture. Our demand for quality and our love of craftsmanship quickly made the rounds and paved the way for our success story, which has lasted 175 years and is now in its sixth generation under Jürg Schärer.
