The red border is an additional quality feature. A red aluminum strip seals the transition and prevents soil or water from getting between the foil and the wooden wall and damaging the material.

You can plant a raised bed earlier in the spring. Because of the height, the raised bed is protected and warmer. The plants grow faster. You can comfortably stand and nurture the raised bed.
