Ryf Stauffer Holzbau AG (Unterlangenegg)

The timber construction company was founded in 1923 by Gottfried Stauffer senior.

In 1960, his sons Gottfried Stauffer Jr. and Hansruedi Stauffer took over the company. At the same time it was transformed into a general partnership.

In the same year, the company building was erected on the Aebnit with the company name G. + H. Stauffer, carpentry and construction company.

In 1988 Gottfried Stauffer retired. Thus the company was taken over by his son Hansueli Stauffer.

On this occasion the joint-stock company Stauffer Zimmerei AG was founded. The company was divided into Baugeschäft Hansruedi Stauffer and Stauffer Zimmerei AG.

In 1995 the company name was changed. It was now called Stauffer Holzbau AG with departments carpentry, joinery, parquet.

At the same time a new company building was constructed. Three years later, the new office wing could be occupied.

In 2009 the company was sold to Rafael Garcia (Stauffer u. Biedermann, Metallbau) and again three years later Hanspeter Ryf (Ryf Holzbau GmbH) took over the company.

Since 2015, the two companies Stauffer Holzbau AG and Ryf Holzbau GmbH have been going through business life together and have since been operating under the name Ryf Stauffer Holzbau AG. The head office is in Unterlangenegg.

With the takeover of all shares by the local building contractor Walter Kropf in 2018, a further milestone was reached.

Since then, the two companies Ryf Stauffer Holzbau AG and Kropf Bauunternehmung have been working closely together.
